UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Nittany Lion wrestler Beau Bartlett has been named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week for the week ending March 12, 2024. The Nittany Lion senior claims Penn State’s third honor of the season and his second.

Bartlett dominated No. 2 Real Woods 7-2 on Friday night in Iowa City, sparking Penn State to a 29-6 win over the Hawkeyes in their building. Bartlett worked his way to takedowns in the first and third periods and added an escape to post the 7-2 victory, one of eight for the Nittany Lions on the night. Penn State won eight of ten bouts against Iowa and tallied five majors along the way.

Three nights later, Bartlett used a late takedown to defeat Max Hermes of Rutgers 4-1 in the 2024 BJC Dual against Rutgers. His win was one of nine for Penn State in the Lions’ 35-3 victory over the Scarlet Knights on Monday night. Bartlett is now 16-0 on the year. Penn State’s two wins improved the team to 10-0 overall, 7-0 B1G.

The Nittany Lions host Nebraska next Sunday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m. in Rec Hall. The Big Ten finale for both teams, the dual will air live on the Big Ten Network.
