Awards Luncheon Committee – Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative Subcommittee (1): Responsible for negotiating contracts, overseeing budget for Luncheon, coordinating awards information with Wrestling Office Coaches and staff, coordinating mailings, preparing Luncheon program; Effort is seasonally focused from late December until date of Luncheon in April; A one-page financial report is prepared after the Luncheon and submitted to the Club Treasurer.

Plaques and Awards Subcommittee (1): Make contact with Program Award Sponsors to ensure they want to continue their sponsorship, and oversee collection of their sponsor monies; Coordinate with Sales Vendor to place plaque orders; keep track of 3-year plaques ordering; provide Award winners’ names to Vendor for engraving. Effort is seasonally focused, typically from January until date of Luncheon in April.

Registration Subcommittee (2 to 3): Collect Registrations for guests, insuring all are paid, and also coordinate wrestlers, parents, coaching staff, and Student Club registrations; Prepare name tags and register guests when they arrive at the Luncheon. Seasonally focused, typically from mid-February until date of the Luncheon in April.

Student Affiliate Club Subcommittee. (1 or 2): Club Advisor will coordinate preparation of Seniors’ and starting wrestlers’ scrapbooks with members of the Student Club; Coordinate presentation of scrapbooks at the Luncheon. Seasonally focused during wrestling season.

Assistants to Other Subcommittees (2 or 3): Provide assistance to other Subcommittees with mailings, programs, plaques, and awards; Organize presentation of awards at Luncheon. Seasonally focused from February until date of Luncheon in April.
