Memoirs Correspondent (1): Contact all Penn State wrestling alums who graduated at least 10 years ago and request they write about their most significant memory of being on the Penn State wrestling team. All submissions to be inserted into the “PSU Wrestling Memories” page of the PSWC website. Basic correspondence and organizational skills required. This task will take less than 25 hours annually.
Goldstein Collection Archivist (1): Inventory by wrestler name, date, and meet the Marshall Goldstein collection of wrestler photographs taken 1967 – 1995 when he was the Penn State Wrestling Photographer. NOTE: This collection is the ONLY, exclusive source of these action photos. This task will require use a computer to view digital images in JPG format, ability to identify wrestlers from as much as 50 years ago and create a computerized data file of each image searchable by name, date, and meet. This task could take several hours a week until all images inventoried.
All-Americans Photo Editor (1): Collect 2-3 action photographs of each Penn State wrestling All-American and get them inserted into the “Penn State Wrestling History and Records” page of the PSWC website. Basic organizational skills are required to select and collect the photographs; will require working with the club webmaster to have the photos inserted into the website. This task should take less than 25 hours the first year and just a couple hours annually thereafter.
“Looking Back” Columnist (1): Serve as the Looking Back feature writer for the PSWC Newsletter (Update). Compile and write wrestling highlights of Penn State wrestling events that occurred 5, 10, 20 and 30 years ago for approximately 3 Newsletter Issues annually. (This task is presently being done by Brian McMahon.) This activity requires approximately 1 to 2 days effort, three times per year between December 1 and April 1.
History Book Manager (1 or 2): Serve as manager(s) of the writing team for a new PSWC book of Penn State wrestling for the decade 2019 – 2029. The basic organization of this project has been established and primary writing assignments made. It just needs a leader to coordinate the work and keep people on the deadlines commonly agreed upon and work with the publisher. This will take 2-4 hours a week until the book is completed.
