Penn State Wrestling Fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have just finished up a fun regular season and look forward to another exciting post season. It has been action packed season for our guys and has gone very fast like most seasons do and here we are in the post season already. Just two more tournaments and the 2025-26 college wrestling season is over.
Since my last update the dual meet portion of the season went into full swing for us with 14 duals beginning with Lehigh and finishing up with Princeton with 8 Big Ten teams in between. The team went 14-0 in those duals and recorded 7 shut outs while doing it. Several of our redshirts/nonstarters along with Josh Barr and Aaron Nagao went to the Southern Scuffle in January as well bringing home the team title. Unfortunately, this was the last competition of the year for Aaron as he was injured and is now on the road to recovery.
There were several challenging weekends with great competition back-to-back this year so our guys will be prepared going into the postseason. Just like years past the guys got better as the season progressed and will continue to be better at the Big Ten tourney and even better at the National Tournament so we look forward to that. We have 1.5 weeks now before they begin their quest to accomplish some of their goals. Winning the Big Ten Tournament and the National tournament is important to our guys, and that is a big part of why they came to Penn State, but many of them have goals of winning a World and Olympic title so this is a step along the way to help get them ready for that.
It sounds like there are only a few hundred tickets left for next weekend’s Big Ten Tourney that we host here at PSU so it should be a great atmosphere. There are no easy matches at this tournament so our guys will have to be ready to go round one. We look forward to seeing and hearing everyone in the next couple of weeks to help spur these guys on to finish strong. Thank you for all your continued support and see you soon.
GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
